It uses AI to automatically generate well-structured flashcards from your text, PDF documents, or images. The app features an intelligent spaced repetition algorithm, swipe-based study interactions, and comprehensive progress tracking. Flash Deck uses advanced AI to automatically generate flashcards from various sources: Text Input (paste or type any text), PDF Documents (upload PDFs up to 25MB), Images (upload images or take photos up to 5MB), and AI Instructions (describe what you want to learn). The AI automatically detects the language, identifies key concepts, and creates balanced question-answer pairs optimized for learning.

Free Tier: 5 AI generations per month, 5 image scans per month, 100 manual entries per month, full access to study mode and spaced repetition, basic statistics, and CSV import. Pro Tier: Unlimited AI generations, unlimited image scans, unlimited manual entries, advanced statistics and analytics, priority support, and all free tier features. Flash Deck uses an enhanced spaced repetition algorithm with swipe-based interactions. Swipe right when you know a card - it appears less frequently. After 3-5 consecutive right swipes, the interval increases (daily → every 3 days → weekly). Swipe left when you need more practice - the card appears more often. The system adapts to your performance, showing difficult cards more often and mastered cards less often. Study sessions are capped at 20-50 cards to prevent fatigue.

Yes! Flash Deck supports multiple import methods: CSV Import (question/answer columns), JSON Import, PDF Import (AI generates flashcards automatically), and Manual Entry (create flashcards one by one or in bulk). The import system automatically detects column mappings and validates your data before importing.

Yes! Flash Deck includes deck sharing functionality: Generate shareable links/tokens for your decks, make decks publicly accessible (optional), and anyone can study public decks without creating an account - just use the share link. You can also use share tokens to import decks created by others into your own account. This makes it easy to collaborate with classmates or access community-created content.

PDF Files: Maximum size 25MB, supports both text-based and scanned PDFs, AI automatically extracts and processes content. Image Files: JPG, JPEG, PNG, GIF, WebP formats, maximum size 5MB, can take photos directly with device camera, AI uses OCR to extract text. CSV Files: Standard CSV format with question/answer columns, automatic column detection and mapping.

Flash Deck includes built-in Text-to-Speech functionality: Tap the speaker icon to hear flashcard content read aloud, automatically detects language and uses appropriate voice, strips HTML formatting for clean audio output, and helps with pronunciation and auditory learning. TTS works offline using your device's built-in speech synthesis capabilities.

Yes! Flash Deck provides comprehensive progress tracking: Statistics Dashboard (overall progress, study streaks, performance metrics), Deck Analytics (statistics for individual decks), Goal Setting (set and track learning goals), Performance Insights (understand which cards need review), and Study History (track study sessions and review patterns). Pro users get access to advanced analytics and detailed insights.

Flash Deck includes a built-in dark mode feature: Go to Settings from your profile menu, switch between Light and Dark themes with a single tap, choose to follow your device's system theme preference, and your preference is saved automatically. Dark mode reduces eye strain during extended study sessions, especially in low-light environments. All features work seamlessly in both light and dark modes.

Pro subscription management depends on where you purchased: Web (Stripe): If you subscribed on the web, manage your subscription in your Profile page—update payment methods, cancel, or change your plan through the Stripe customer portal. App (Apple): If you subscribed through the iOS app, manage through your Apple ID: Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions on your iPhone or iPad. Your subscription syncs across web and app when you sign in with the same account. Access continues until the end of your billing period if you cancel. Subscriptions automatically renew unless turned off at least 24 hours before the period ends. Contact support for help.

Flash Deck uses a soft limit system for Pro users: Pro Tier: 100 AI generations/month, 100 image scans/month. Limits reset monthly and if you exceed Pro soft limits, you can contact us to request additional quota. Soft limits exist for cost control (AI services have usage costs), to prevent abuse, ensure fair usage, and most users won't hit them.

Flash Deck offers several partnership models for schools, universities, and training centers: Institutional Licenses—provide Pro Access to students with bulk pricing and centralized billing; Content Partnership—monetize your curriculum as Official Study Decks with revenue sharing; Full Whitelabeling—launch a branded version of Flash Deck under your name on the App Store and Google Play.
